Committed to Accessibility

Public-i is committed to providing products and services that are available to all. We have undertaken a number of steps to ensure that this website is accessible following the rules and guidelines set by the World Wide Web Consortium Web Access Initiative Guidelines (www.w3c.org/WAI/).
In addition to adhering to the guidelines we have included other accessibility features such as providing an alternative high visibility stylesheet, for browsers supporting alternative stylesheets such as Firefox and Konqueror.
If you have any problems with the site or feel that the accessibility of the site could be improved in any way then we would be interested to hear from you at info@public-i.info.

Accessibility Policy

Public-i's aim is to provide a system that allows clients to provide webcasts and related information in a format that is accessible to as many people as possible. This is to be achieved through the use of adhering to recognised standards where they can be applied and to provide the most widely compatible viewing formats available.

To provide our clients with the best service possible we will provide a number of options allowing webcasts and related information to be displayed in fully featured formats making use of the latest technology available all the way to basic formats that are fully accessible and compliant with accessibility tools.

Website information, in all formats, should comply with the World Wide Web Consortium's language standards. Due to significant browser inconsistencies with regards to those standards, a version of all software should be fully functional and available on all platforms taking into account the browser and platform limitations. All standard website information should be available in all formats with as little additional effort from the client as possible. This will require clients to enter the required information prior to the start of the webcast. Usage of the different formats will be at the client's discretion.

Webcast information should be available to be transmitted in formats that are as compatible and accessible on as many methods of access as possible. To ensure the maximum compatibility across the board Real Media Encoding is offered with Windows Media Encoding also offered as an alternative, or in addition to. Therefore Public-i will provide the means to transmit in those formats and will continually review the available formats with regards to new developments and technology. Usage of any or all of the selected formats will again be at the client's discretion.
