In-house service
Public-i provides an in-house encoding service to convert your audiovisual content into web, CD or DVD formats.
The encoding process is very straightforward. You can simply send us your original material and we will digitise and process the media for you. Once the job is complete the clips can be made available on your website or on a disc, and we'll ensure they are accessible to as many people as possible.
If you require a hosting service for your media, we provide a very reliable and cost-effective which does not affect your IT infrastructure. And we don't put any restrictions on the number of viewers who can watch. More information on hosting can be found on our Hosting page.
We can also transcribe or translate your clips as part of the encoding process, making it more accessible to all users. There is more information on this service and examples on our Transcription and Translation page.
Multimedia Audit
You may have videos which were made previously but are still relevant to your local community or staff. We can help you to review your library and decide which content could be transferred to a digital format and re-used as part of your current communications. Once your videos are encoded, this gives you more scope to make them available online or distribute them as CDs and DVDs. It also gives them a longer shelf-life and secures their quality for the foreseeable future.
Technical advice and training
If you're using one of our webcasting systems to encode material yourself, we'll give you comprehensive training and help you to define multimedia standards that make it easy for your audience to view the content.
If you have an encoding enquiry or would like to discuss a multimedia project, contact us and we'll be happy to help.
