More Information

Make your media more accessible with transcription and translation

We all know accessibility is a key requirement for Local Authorities. By webcasting your meetings you can extend accessibility to those who would be unable to attend in person. But is that enough?

You can improve on this level of accessibility by providing

  • Webcast transcripts
  • Subtitles
  • Foreign language translation
  • Sign language interpretation

Content can be synchronised with archived webcasts and complete transcripts made available for downloading. Another advantage of transcribing is that you can also add a word search facility to improve navigation for your viewers.

Transcripts can also be translated into a wide range of languages for your archive, increasing its value for communities where English is not the first language. You can see an example of multi-language presentations with the London Borough of Newham's Adviceline webcast.
